Open to all, the Reading Room is a quiet place in downtown Salem where you can find solutions and inspiration through study and prayer. As a combination bookstore and library, it provides a study room for reading The Christian Science Monitor and other periodicals, studying the Bible with reference materials, or listening to inspiring CDs and tapes.

You can borrow or purchase:

• Bibles and Bible reference books
• Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy
• The Christian Science Monitor, a Pulitzer Prize-winning international newspaper
• Books on spirituality, health, and healing
• Children's books with colorful Bible stories
• Music, articles and books on CD
• Some books and periodicals are available in several languages and for e-readers

We have computers available for browsing spiritual topics on websites such as Spirituality.com, and accessing databases for research of the Bible, the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, and articles from the Christian Science magazines.

The Reading Room is staffed by church members who can listen and talk with anyone who wants to learn more about the Bible, Christian Science, and prayer that heals.  Everyone is welcome!
